Grocery Operations Coordinator

The Grocery Operations Coordinator is required to achieve the following outcomes:

·         Face-to-face sales and customer service

·         Leading and managing the checkout team

·         Ensuring checkout rosters are distributed and within budget for wage costs.

·         Maintain and present visual displays in a compelling manner to attract new and existing customers

·         Ensure that prices and other details are clearly visible on each item

·         Maintain and monitor correct stock rotation within displays focusing on customer safety and hygiene  

·         Delivering everything in a timely manner and to our high standards

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and Mercato’s mission statement.

Essential Capabilities and Qualifications:

·         Ability to lead and work cooperatively within a team

·         Ability to maintain a customer focus

·         Sound communication skills and ability to engage with a wide variety of people from varying backgrounds

·         Interest in Italian food, wine and culture

·         Certificate 3 in Retail is preferred but not necessary
