About the Role

Reporting to the State Manager - WA, this role will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of store managers and store staff to deliver excellence in sales, customer experience and store standards across a district of company operated stores.

This is a large people leadership role which encompasses direct P&L responsibility, requiring a self-starting and motivated leader.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Analyse your business & all financial data to ensure delivery of sales, profit and growth in your stores
  • Lead, support and mentor Store Managers to deliver store performance and profitability targets.
  • Build and implement business plans within your district for optimal financial outcomes
  • Manage and monitor expenditure for your district, including labour spend and other controllable store expenses
  • Complete store visits on a visitation schedule, reviewing standards to provide feedback
  • Assess and provide feedback on store performance and store standards to your store managers & store teams
  • Foster a positive team culture and environment through leading by example
  • Ensure Store Managers and teams appropriately operate safely and maintain store equipment and facilities.
  • Act as a liaison between the operations team, marketing, merchandising, construction and finance as part of resolving store issues.
  • Follow up on gaps identified in store reviews, coach and mentor Store Managers in achieving targeted areas for improvement.

Skills & Experience 

  • Extensive retailing experience and understanding of retail operations, including a proven track record within retail multi-site environments
  • Experience in a significant People management/leadership role desirable
  • Strong analytical ability to manage financials and targets within your business
  • Highly developed relationship building skills, with the sensitivity to work cross functionally & culturally
  • Concern for accuracy and quality, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Driver’s license mandatory
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or related discipline will be highly regarded
