Our business, Calendar Club is unique. Since 1995 the business has pioneered ‘pop up’ retailing in Australia & New Zealand. We have opened more than 2700 retail stores in that time.You’ll know us – we are the guys with the calendar-only kiosks that trade in shopping centres everywhere at Christmas time.
This year we’ll operate another 150 stores and we have big plans ahead for other retail concepts we are currently incubating.
The role isn’t for everyone – it’s for 4 months every year (September-January), so if you like the idea of going really hard for part of the year then kicking back, this might be ideal for you. There is a competitive salary and benefits on offer.
We need someone special to take care of 15-20 stores in Sydney. To train and motivate the licensees who run the stores. You will ensure that they operate effectively so that we once again delight our customers and meet our financial goals.
It’s a tough, challenging (and fun) gig, especially leading into Christmas when its all hands on deck. But if you know retail you’ll understand this.
We’re looking for a self-motivated doer; someone who charges out of bed ready to face the day; who wants the best; who understands that retail in the fourth quarter of the year is busy and that long hours and weekends are required; someone that has a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude, just like the rest of our team.
You jump at the opportunity to get involved in projects, love people and understand that deadlines don’t move. You’ll need to be incredibly organised, confident and have a background in retail management, preferably in managing multi-stores.
