Mandarin speaking Public Relations professionals needed. All levels encouraged to apply! 

Job description                                                            

We are currently searching for an energetic and bright Mandarin speaking Public Relations professional. 

You will work on leading global brands including some that have China as a key market - hence your ability to speak and read Mandarin will be essential in helping us to translate some media materials to English.  

The role will focus on delivering successful corporate and consumer public relations, content, events, activations and social media campaigns for our clients. If the job is right for you, you will be a great writer, have strong media relationships and be tenacious when it comes to media pitching. You will be known for excellent client service and have the ability to mentor and support juniors to assist with account support including reporting and media list development.

Expected Competencies

It is essential the successful candidate is fluent Mandarin.

Media relations on behalf of clients

-       Growing and maintaining your media relationships with key media

-       Working with the MD to develop media pitches, media releases and media materials

-       Pitching to media on email, phone and in-person

-       Subscribing to and reading key media on a daily basis to spot and share opportunities for our clients

-       Working with our junior support team on developing targeted and up-to-date media lists for clients

-       Understanding of time management, meeting deadlines, problem solving and knowing when to seek advice

-       Coming up with proactive ideas for future client pitches

Events, content creation and activation

-       With the support of our team, manage events, content creation and activations from start to finish

-       Create timelines, run sheets and briefing books for events

-       Where appropriate, help manage talent for the events, content and/or activations

Administration

-       Attending client WIP meetings to keep notes and send a follow up list of actions for the client post the meeting

-       Overseeing the daily, weekly and monthly reporting and KPI tracking for our clients

Team management

-       Mentor and manage our junior support team

Additional duties from time to time as agreed. Salary with commensurate with experience.
