The Business Marketing Manager is the champion of the City’s business marketing strategy and brand custodian. This manager inspires internal and external stakeholders to develop powerful business and investment marketing, advocacy, partnerships and programs.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee strategic and collaborative City business marketing communications and branding initiatives across City of Parramatta Council departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Management, administration, execution and ongoing development of an integrated City business marketing program to leverage Parramatta’s competitive identity.
  • Provide marketing counsel to internal divisions at City of Parramatta Council regarding business and investment related marketing and communications
  • Develop, coordinate and implement business and investment marketing campaigns
  • Engage, manage, communicate and collaborate with external consultants as agreed by Council senior management.
  • Evaluate and measure and report effectiveness of marketing strategies and programs

Qualifications (Level)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or other related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years experience in strategic marketing and communications in Australia, with specific City marketing and place-making experience highly regarded.
  • Experience working with internal partnerships for the delivery of outcomes.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to balance competing priorities.
  • Ability to develop networks with a wide range of industry, government and community groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in the establishment and maintenance of good working relationships with the broad range of people across the organisation, with key organisation and City partners.
