Our client that is plays an important part for all Australians is searching for a talented and experienced APS 6 Content Writer. If you love being creative with web based content, then this role will fulfil your need to write to various audiences!
You will be working within a small team and engaging various parts of the business and so your communications will be exemplary. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to be extended by a further 6 months.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- working as a member of a small team to write and edit web content;
- rewriting web content to improve readability, reduce duplication and confusion and ensure that website visitors can obtain the required information as quickly and as clearly as possible;
- researching and analysing current user/customer needs and frustration with existing content by using data (such as Google Analytics) as well as by working with subject matter experts;
- adhering to the corporate editorial guidelines and style as well as ensuring alignment with the Digital Services Standard;
- working cooperatively and collaboratively with business stakeholders, including ICT delivery teams client service teams and service delivery transformation teams, to deliver improved website content;
- writing and editing web-based content to ensure content meets Australian Government online standards, particularly the WCAG2.0 and the Digital Services Standard.
- researching and analysing statistics to inform content decisions.
- working independently and as part of a team to drive real and noticeable changes to an organisation’s online web presence
You must be able to demonstrate the above duties in your previous work and you will have had exposure or worked within the federal government to be considered.
You will have had experience in publishing in drupal/govCMS and/or Sharepoint will be highly regarded. You will also have a degree in journalism, communications, marketing or public relations and you will be able to supply referees to support your experience.
