The Opportunity 

An exciting opportunity exists for a Marketing Consultant to join the Marketing team at HBF. This position is responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager – General & Life Insurance by driving the implementation of integrated marketing activities to achieve sales and retention targets to identified market segments (whilst ensuring brand health for HBF more broadly). The role in the HBF group is built around strengthening the member relationship by providing added value to our database of over 1 million members through the General and Life offering.


Key Responsibilities

  • As directed by the Marketing Manager – General & Life Insurance, develop, manage, optimise and report on ATL & BTL targeted campaigns to achieve acquisition and retention objectives for General & Life insurance. Point 1

  • Take end to end responsibility for developing all direct marketing and support marketing collateral, including brochures, point-of-sale and website content. Is responsible to ensure these are current, relevant and support business objectives and liaising with the broader Brand and Marketing areas when appropriate.

  • Act as a representative of the Brand & Acquisition (or wider Marketing) team on internal cross-functional teams as required and manage/coordinate activities relating to the department as required.

  • As directed by the Marketing Manager – General & Life Insurance effectively forecast and manage the agreed budget to ensure campaigns and broader marketing expenses are within forecast and generate a positive ROI. 

  • Monitor competitor activity in the marketplace and respond effectively, offering intelligence and response plans to competitor activity.  

 

About You

If you meet the following selection criteria, we would love to hear from you!

  • Direct involvement in campaign development and use of both ATL & BTL channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to implement marketing campaigns and projects with proven success at managing multiple internal relationships and deadlines.

  • A track record of working with external suppliers, notably advertising agencies to produce exceptional creative outputs that directly lead onto the achievement of a company’s commercial objectives, most notably sales targets.

  • A high degree of analytical and critical thinking applied to recommendations, and an ability to mine insights from research and data.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers whilst achieving business and Marketing objectives.

  • A high degree of self-management and a demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage many projects to deadline.

  • Strong communication skills to liaise and negotiate with a diverse group of stakeholders both externally and internall.

  • Experience in development and implementation of retention strategies.

  • Experience in managing marketing budgets and an ability to provide strong rationale and recommendations on budgets.
