Your new company
An exciting opportunity has recently become available for an experienced Events and Community Experience Officer to join a Local Government Department based in South West Sydney. This is an initial 2 month Contract and ASAP Start.
Your new role
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and deliver major events for the organisation. You will monitor, implement and review the organisations events policy and annual events calendar. You will coordinate and deliver major events and build relationships with key staff and community representatives. You will develop and implement strategies to attract sponsorship and local and external council and consult, advise and support appropriate events committees to manage, support and deliver quality community events.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar role will lead to your success, as will:
- A tertiary qualification in Event Management, Marketing or a related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communications, negotiation and problem solving skills
- Experience in Major Event Management is essential
