Job Purpose
As the Communications Officer, you will identify, research and produce communications across a range of print, digital and online publications. Produce and disseminate timely, high-quality news releases, effective content, editorials and other media and PR communications as well as strengthen relationships with digital outlets.
Provide a copywriting and ghost writing function as well as quality support to the Marketing, Communication & Fundraising Team.

Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role you will be required to address the following selection criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field.
- Experience in corporate communications, media relations, and/or brand management and marketing.
- Well-rounded and demonstrable record of developing integrated communication strategies within complex environments.
- Understanding of the disability sector and not for profit human service environment desired but not essential.
- Strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments.
- Understanding of digital/online and social media; digital marketing; SEO and website analytics.
- Sound interpersonal and communication (written & oral) skills; administrative and organisational skills, creative writing and computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office suite, HTML and web editing tools).
- Sound researching, public speaking and presentation skills desirable.
