Network Rail Consulting (NRC) is the international consultancy arm of Network Rail, the owner and operator of the UK's mainline railway - acknowledged internationally as a centre of rail excellence.

About the role
Network Rail Consulting's Bid Manager is a broad end-to-end position identifying, building and developing strong customer relationships with the primary responsibility of executing key account plans and driving our commercial strategy by leading the bid and tender process for Australia and New Zealand.
In particular, responsibilities include leading Expressions of Interest (EoI), unsolicited bids, and bids in response to specific Invitations to Tender's (ITT) and to develop and execute bid strategies including relevant USP's, teaming, technical approach, risk assessment and commercial strategy.
Reporting to the Regional Director, and managing and mentoring the Marketing Coordinator, you will also support the broader marketing activities with a specific focus on content generation, internal/external communications and managing marketing activities.
As a natural leader in your field, you will bring the following skills and attributes to Network Rail Consulting:
A proven track record in bid and tender responses, preferably within a rail consulting environment, including the project management of the response, writing, design and submissions
Management and execution of communication strategies
Strong stakeholder management and relationship management experience, managing all levels within a business and managing suppliers and external providers
A passion for identifying opportunities to improve processes or ways of working
In-depth Salesforce knowledge
Skills and experience
As an experienced Bid Manager, you will be a strategic and financially-focused professional with an innovative approach to proposals whilst ensuring compliance with customer requirements and highlighting company value proposition. You will have excellent influencing and negotiation skills and have experience in managing multiple projects and tracking milestones in line with constant deadlines and changing demands.
The successful applicant will possess extensive experience within a similar bid or tender management role with high-value contracts. You will have a consultative approach teamed with strong business acumen.
