The Opportunity
The continued growth of Urbis means we are looking for a creative and collaborative team-player to join our emergent Stakeholder Engagement team as a Consultant.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Urbis Engagement offer as you support the provision of robust and effective stakeholder and community engagement strategies for a diverse range of major urban development, urban renewal, infrastructure and public policy projects.

About You
As Consultant in the Urbis Engagement team, each day will be full of new and exciting challenges. Some of the tasks you will undertake may include:

  • Contributing to the design and delivery of tailored engagement strategies to build understanding, create local ownership and to inform sustainable decision making;
  • Supporting the team to provide specialist advice to our clients to support strategic and statutory planning, development, infrastructure and public policy projects;
  • Drafting and contributing to persuasive and engaging communications materials, including social media campaigns, newsletters, letters and reports;
  • Organising and helping to facilitate focus groups and workshops, collaborative design labs and other activities that promote the involvement of people in shaping the future of their cities.

This role will suit someone with up to 3 years’ experience in a similar role with a combination of the following competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with team members and clients;
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines;
  • Inquisitive mind and ability to learn new things quickly;
  • Commitment to achieving team goals and working towards team success;
  • A degree in Communications, Public Policy, Business or a related discipline (completed or currently in matriculation); and
  • Relevant experience in a consultancy or other fast-paced environment.
