An exciting contract opportunity has been created for a Marketing Officer in the new shared services model at the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, which has over 3,500 employees, has agencies such as the Catholic Schools Office, CatholicCare, St Nicholas Early Education, the Catholic Development Fund and DARA that provide pastoral educational, social welfare, and community development services.
The purpose of this role is to assist the Marketing Team Leader to develop marketing strategies by:
- Planning and implementation of marketing and communications strategies, including content marketing and advertising campaigns and/or projects
- Developing and executing messaging for use across multiple channels
- Creating a wide variety of content - for use in traditional and digital media channels - such as photos, videos, newsletters, EDMs
- Tracking and measuring the success of strategies and campaigns for launching new projects
- Engaging with all stakeholders throughout the process
Required experience
At least three years’ experience in a similar marketing role assisting with planning and successfully delivering marketing strategies, campaigns and projects
- Experience in producing content (written and visual) for a wide variety of channels
- Experience in developing and implementing branding/rebranding campaigns and/or projects
- Experience in key message development and implementation
Other requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing (Bachelor or equivalent) essential
- High level of problem-solving ability, providing flexible and creative solutions
- Ability to work in a team – being a good team player is must
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This position will be on an initial contract of 12 months.
