An exciting opportunity now exists for a Marketing Assistant to join our head office team.

The Role

As the Marketing Assistant, you will work with internal Marketing Coordinators and Graphic Designers as well as external suppliers to assist in the delivery of all Marketing related activities. You will have a passion and enthusiasm for books and will be responsible for;

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all marketing related enquiries and allocating tasks to appropriate team members
  • Maintaining the marketing design register
  • Assisting with maintaining loyalty program customer database
  • Responding to and resolving queries from loyalty program customers
  • Providing general administrative support to loyalty program functions
  • Ensuring that all Franchise Owner and customer queries are responded to in a timely manner
  • Assisting with general store communications through internal channels
  • Accurately completing ad-hoc mail outs as well as monthly mail outs to loyalty members
  • Completing data entry, posting and filing tasks
  • Liaising with suppliers to coordinate content for the Marketing, PR and Digital teams
  • Providing core administrative, marketing and communications support


The successful applicant

  • Previous experience in the book industry preferred but not essential
  • Previous admin experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous marketing experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Passion for books and the book industry
  • Friendly, positive and approachable personality with a can-do attitude
  • Reliable and team orientated
  • Advanced skills with the suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
