Our Marketing Team call themselves the Avengers, and their mission is to ‘save the world from impersonal communication’. To continue fulfilling their mission they need some help, so we’re looking for a new avenger to join our nest in Cooma, NSW.
  
The successful candidate will be able to fully immerse themselves in different aspects of the marketing and communications of the business, with a specific focus on public relations and social media. The main focus of this role is to create and manage positive relationships, brand identity and perception of birdsnest.
  
The Social Media element of the role is overseeing the strategy, content creation and monitoring across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. This includes delivering and executing a brand focused weekly plan that complements the marketing calendar and any marketing campaigns.

The PR element will involve working on call-outs, collaborations, events, promotions and other initiatives that meet overall PR goals and objectives. It is about nurturing existing relationships, and developing new relationships with relevant ‘influencers’ in order to stimulate demand and interest in the birdsnest brand.
  
As the Marketing Assistant in the team, your role will encompass:

• Supporting the Head of Marketing with initiatives as required
• Working collaboratively across teams for complimentary ideation purposes
• Overseeing the planning, preparation and scheduling of relevant content that fits in with the overall marketing plans and goals for the week
• Researching new opportunities for relevant and effective campaigns, content and collaborations to be proposed to team
• Updating and monitoring birdsnest social media channels including tracking results
• Managing media callouts and other public relations based communication such as ‘influencer’, ambassador and partner relations
• Assisting and supporting with copy writing and editing across marketing, PR and social media activity

There is significant scope within this opportunity so we would like to mould the role to suit your strengths, interests, and level of experience from graduate to senior marketer.

What we are looking for

• Excellent written communication skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
• Proficient in MS office, MS excel
• Attention to detail and is passionate about being organised
• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Business or Commerce is desirable
• Previous experience managing Social Media accounts is also desirable
