About the role
Accommodation Services operates in a manner that supports the La Trobe values and achievement of identified business objectives. In providing tailored and quality services, all teams within the division are expected to work collaboratively and provide cross functional team support at all times.
In this role, you will report to the Manager Residential Education, providing a diverse range of support, advice and coordination in relation to marketing and communications, along with all external-facing marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and coordinate all marketing and communications to La Trobe residents in an appropriate, relevant and high qualitative manner
- Project manage activities that coordinate and respond to a wide variety of requests from external and internal stakeholders, along with managing requests through to completion
- Provide authoritative actions which result in a variety of strategic marketing campaigns designed to maintain and increase reputation, as well as engaging students in Accommodation Services operations
- Innovation of functions and processes relating to events, promotions, communication strategies, digital platforms and student experience, with the ability to take responsibility for outcomes and results
- Manage own time and coordinate a variety of external-facing, promotional events, for Accommodation Services
- Ensure, promote and educate others of the appropriate and proper guidelines and processes of La Trobe University, including the brand and communication guidelines, social media requirements, photography and videography guidelines
- Position and project manage new initiatives to increase student involvement and improve the student experience in the residential community
Skills & Experience
To be the successful candidate you will have
Undergraduate university degree in marketing or communications with excellent written and spoken communications skills. Ability to innovate, develop new marketing collateral and support existing social media platforms. Also must work well autonomously and as part of a team.
