About the Role
My client is looking for a Communications Manager to enhance the reputation of the business through proactive communication. The purpose of the role is to support in the development of communication strategies that improve the ways in which the business communicate and engage external and internal audiences.

Role Requirements and Responsibilities

• To enhance the reputation of business through proactive communications
• Develop communications strategies, approaches and content in line with business priorities
• Identify communication opportunities across all channels – internal, social/digital and traditional media
• Develop and manage the delivery of communication content internally and externally
• Support broader Public Affairs team in delivering internal and external communications activity and projects as required
• Build strong relationships with internal business stakeholders
• Research and develop content for specific communications campaigns and activities

Background and Experience

• At least six-years and recent experience in an in-house or consultancy communications role
• Excellent corporate and consumer writing skills, with strong attention to detail
• Sound media judgement and understanding of social media
• Excellent writing and story-telling experience
• Creative thinker, willing to explore new ways to present content through media channels, including social and digital media
• Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
• Strong networking, influencing, relationship management skills
• Knowledge of the Financial Services industry is advantageous
• Understanding of a listed company environment and the constraints and opportunities this presents.
• Degree level qualified
