We are seeking a PR and Communications Specialist to drive initiatives across media, digital communications, marketing channels, corporate communications and events. This is a 12 month fixed term contract, commencing immediately.

Based in the Metricon Homes Gold Coast office, the role reports directly to the Senior Marketing and Communications Advisor and works closely with a national PR and marketing services team.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• The coordination and delivery of high standard PR and communications within the Queensland and NSW regions;
• Managing the implementation of a communications program that feeds established digital and marketing channels;
• Developing and delivering effective, message-laden content sourced from a variety of resources;
• Identifying story angles and preparing media information to attract regular media coverage;
• Drawing on marketing data to provide strategic input and direction into business planning processes;
• Building on media and social media influencer networks;
• Supporting promotional activity within a team environment; and
• Coordinating and maximising marketing activities that support campaigns and demonstrate measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will have:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience within Communications, Marketing, Social Media and/or Public Relations;
• Outstanding Copywriting skills;
• Proven ability to plan and execute and drive PR and communications campaigns;
• A strategic thinker with a good understanding of conventional and digital media;
• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills; and
• Tertiary qualifications in any of the aforementioned fields are an advantage.
