We own and operate Glen Albyn Estate, Seagrass and BW Events in Hobart, We are a dynamic, growing business and have emerged as Hobart’s premier function venue with Glen Albyn Estate , a unique 15 acre property with amazing views and an outstanding reputation for not just food and wine but also a complete in-house theming and production department .

: Seagrass a waterfront café by day and dedicated to functions by night

: Leading offsite caterer, providing catering and total event design and installation in several venues in Hobart catering for up to 1200 people.

Our ideal applicant would be able to undertake the following tasks:

Demonstrated knowledge at an advanced level of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver and Premiere Pro

Demonstrated knowledge at an intermediate level of Microsoft Office suite of software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experienced and proficient in social media marketing strategies

Proficient in auditing and executing SEO tactics

Maintaining content schedules, creating content outlines; editing written content

Artwork creation: brochures, advertisements, flyers, business cards and other marketing collateral and preparing artwork for print where necessary

Devleope  database and email marketing campaigns 

Think creatively, generate new ideas, designs and concepts

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Familiar with web design and print design techniques and have the skills to maintain and change content on existing websites

Sound working knowledge of pre-press production and publishing

Photography skills

Effectively manage multiple briefs at a time, prioritizing where necessary and providing updates where relevant

Assisting in event organisation and management

Supporting day to day promotional enquiries for the venues

Other ad hoc admin and promotional tasks as required

Strong work ethic, with good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

 

  • The candidate would have proven study qualifications and experience in the marketing, graphic design and/or communication industry
  • History working in hospitality industry would be beneficial
  • Experience with photo editing or design software such as adobe suite products, preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of EDM programs

 

Remuneration package will be negotiable based on your experience and work history.
