The Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) is the national council for fire, land management and emergency service authorities in Australia and New Zealand representing 31 member organisations totalling 288,000 firefighters and emergency workers.
A great opportunity exists for a Communications Officer to assist with a busy portfolio of communications, marketing and social media. The role reports to the Assistant Director, Communications and Events with primary responsibility for:
- Preparation of internal and external communications including extensive sub-editing
- Website content
- Newsletters, magazine, annual report
- Supporting events including the annual industry conference, AFAC18
- General administrative tasks
We are looking for someone with the ability to work across a range of functions. You will be highly organised, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be flexible and adaptable with a high attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines in order to deliver quality outcomes.
