The Company
Bluefin Resources are excited to be working with a globally recognised ecommerce site on a newly created role within their Sydney CBD office. With a collaborative and dynamic team and offices in the UK and US, the Multimedia Editorial Manager will have an international reach but the feel of a start-up in the modern and CBD based office.
About the role
In this newly created role, you will report into the Senior International Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of the content strategy and ensure we are using the most relevant and efficient tools and technology.
The Multimedia Editorial Manager will create world-class content across media such as video, podcasts and blogs and understands who the audience is and how and where to find them utilising insights and data to inform the strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and execute our local content strategy in conjunction with our global strategies and business objectives
- Create, produce and manage a high standard of content that supports our business goals and reflects the values and culture of the business
- Identify opportunities for growth by using key data driven insights and learnings across all content channels
- Manage and facilitate the recruitment of guest bloggers and writers that align with the business strategy, including budget management
- Management of all online video/photography in-house and external content production including other graphics as required
- Ensure visibility of priorities, roadmaps, and key performance metrics for your teams as well as management
- Continually assess the tools, technology and processes used for content management, with full responsibility for change management when needed
- Oversee the management of social media channels, community management, best practice customer care and providing strategic guidance
- You will be responsible for one direct report
About the Candidate
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Media, Communications, Arts or another related discipline
- More than seven years’ experience in content management, ideally with some of that time producing content across a variety of channels
- You will be highly analytical and insight driven utilising data to inform decisions and a strong, effective communicator
- You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, focus on generating results. Candidate must be creative, motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively autonomously
- Experience of managing a team and working collaboratively with other writers and editors
- High standard of best-in-class content for online and offline channels
- Practical working knowledge and experience of CMS systems’ mainly Wordpress, SEO + optimisation tools like Brightedge and Google Analytics including keyword research
