High profile government agency is seeking a Senior Communications Officer to join their team. Reporting to the Manager of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement, you will develop and implement the organisation’s communication strategy, including engagement, promotions, events and media management.

Responsible for a specific business area, you will implement a stakeholder engagement framework to be adopted for a disciplined approach to external stakeholder engagement by internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include providing specialist advice internally around communications best practice, preparing communication material on key issues, and planning/implementing media and public relations campaigns.  

Tertiary qualified in communications or a related discipline, you will be a communications professional with experience working in large, complex environments. You will have demonstrated ability to develop and deliver communications programs for contentious and sensitive public issues.

A team player, you have a broad understanding of how to integrate multi-channel communication plans to deliver transformational change and have a proactive attitude with the ability to manage difficult stakeholders and lead strategic conversations.
