With around 1,400 members Optometry Victoria (OV) is the professional association for optometrists across Victoria. As an incorporated association OV is one of six member states of Optometry Australia providing advocacy and member services while acting as a strong voice for the profession.

Conveniently located in newly refurbished offices in Carlton, our small, proactive team is looking for an experienced events professional to have carriage of the association’s continuing professional development (CPD) member events and conference.

Over recent years, the flagship conference for OV has been the Southern Regional Congress (SRC) which attracts approximately 900 delegates to Melbourne, and is the largest annual optometry CPD event in the southern hemisphere. We are in the process of changing the way our conference program is delivered and this represents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate.

In addition to our conference, the Member Events Coordinator will also coordinate OV’s delivery of our expanding portfolio of smaller, boutique member events across metropolitan and regional Victoria.

With sound knowledge of major events planning and delivery, the Member Events Coordinator will assist the CEO to improve the association's events, with a view to enhancing the professional lives of all optometrists in Victoria.
