Key responsibilities & duties:
- Pitching stories/angles/products/events to well-targeted media contacts from the littleBIG contact base as well as your own.
- Responding to and facilitating media requests.
- Media monitoring, coverage clipping and filing.
- Client report drafting.
- Media, supplier and influencer list maintenance and management.
- Where required, communicating with clients and suppliers in a professional and effective manner.
- Writing content as briefed, for media materials primarily, and also social media, client collateral, promotional material, newsletters, blogs, websites, brochures, invitations, fliers and other marketing communications channels.
- Creating engaging social media content.
- Researching clients, relevant industries and surrounding issues/angles to produce said content, including online research, phone/in-person interviews, field visits, etc.
- Assistance with event and promotional organisation.
- Maintenance of client WIP documents, producing meeting agendas and notes.
- Fashion/sample cupboard management and maintenance of stock sheets.
- Assisting with new business proposals.
- Data entry on an as-needs basis.
- Office administration including answering phones, filtering and directing emails, keeping supplies stocked, office organisation, bookkeeping support and other tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications required: Public relations/communications degree/diploma.
Work experience and attributes required:
- Must possess excellent writing skills, demonstrating: creativity; correct use of grammar, spelling and punctuation; an understanding of style across media releases, web, social media and other basic marketing communications; and a good sense for the 'news' angle.
- Must possess a working knowledge of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Snapchat. WeChat a bonus!
- Must be an adept multi-tasker with good time management skills and an ability to work efficiently yet effectively with very good attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, team spirit and dedicated work ethic.
