The insights Analyst provides a Divisional entry point into the BI & Analytics centre of excellence. The insights analyst will be responsible for analysing business requirements to determine best use of existing data sets and reports to satisfy customer insights expectations. The role will be required to provide insights for the Division, driving improved decision making and business results.
A few responsibilities will include:
- Compile data and perform analysis to support the development of business cases
- Evaluate requirements for business programs and projects; includes business process re-engineering, cost-benefit analysis and recommended solutions. Verifies and validates at senior levels of the business.
- Contribute to project briefs – identifies benefits associated with particular pieces of work, operational dependencies, and establish appropriate proposals to clearly articulate the requirements
- Review and help business stakeholders understand the options and solutions available
- Identify issues and action to resolve issues associated with (but not limited to) the following systems:- Qlikview
- Map business processes, support training delivery and help business users get ready for the implementation of IT solutions.
- Work proactively and collaboratively within the Toll team to drive a better customer experience and results
- Develop effective working relationships with the BI & Analytics Centre of Excellence
About You:
You have demonstrated experience in financials and benefits management in a similar size organisation including investment management and business case development. You have work experience across complex IT projects in a global environment. You are a strong relationship builder with experience with managing both business and technical relationships. You have demonstrated planning, prioritisation and organisation skills and are resilient and supportive to manage change in behaviours, technology and processes.
In order to be successful in the position you will need:
- Qlikview developer, experienced in Nprint / ETL / Database Modelling / UI
- Familiar with Visual Studio / Microsoft SQL Server /
- Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) / Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Experience in BI and analytics and delivering insights in a complex environment
- Leadership capability as potential successor to the Head of Business Partner, with relevant leadership presence
- Excellent presentation skills at Senior Executive and Board level
- Relevant tertiary qualification in an IT or Business related discipline
