Reporting to the Strategic Partnerships Manager, this is a hands-on role pivotal in the development and execution of our events and initiatives portfolio. This portfolio includes: roundtables, conferences, industry report launches, member events, strategic partner initiatives and industry specific initiatives. The position will work closely the Strategic Partnerships Manager and Branch Managers to continuously deliver a high standard of events and initiatives for our Members, Strategic Partners and all other key stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain the ACS calendar of events and initiatives
  • Ensure that all events and initiatives are managed within ACS’ Project Management Framework
  • Review and report on each event campaign’s outcomes against the previously identified objectives
  • Responsible for managing all pre-event, at-the-event and post-event activities
  • Work to an approved budget, forecasting any expected changes to profit/loss
  • Manage all venue and contractor relationships and ensure that they deliver the event within scope
  • Work closely with the Strategic Partnerships Manager to deliver event partner objectives

Essential Requirements

  • Degree with demonstrated expertise in marketing/events/communications
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior events position
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies and execution of large scale national corporate events
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong leadership with demonstrated initiative
  • Commercial acumen and experience to extract a measurable and tangible return on investment
  • Excellent PC skills, typing and literacy skills
  • Extensive background experience within the events industry
  • Strong project management experience of large scale and/or national events
  • Proven track record of leading and managing successful event and strategic initiatives and campaigns

Desirable

  • Understanding or above and below the line marketing and use
  • Good experience using digital platforms such as Salesforce and Adobe
