About the program

Sitting within the Marketing Division, the Donor Development Program aims to engage Australians to raise funds for the Stroke Foundation through multi-channel fundraising communications and strategies.The team is responsible for delivering engaging and effective fundraising campaigns and providing a high level of donor service and support that deepens our relationship with supporters.

About the role

Reporting to the National Manager , Donor Development ,the Data & Insights Specialist is responsible for three core areas within the team:

  • The ongoing management of the database road map and the related technologies that are required to ensure that the database program meets the current and future needs to the Stroke Foundation.
  • Setting and maintaining all data hygiene and accuracy standards for the donor database providing a central point of contact for all data coming in and going out of the donor database.
  • The provision of expert analysis of all donor and benchmark data to uncover insights and trends to inform future supporter strategies within the marketing/fundraising team. This may be in the form of ad hoc reports as well as the development of standardised (automated) reporting for operational purposes.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, analyse and present business insights utilising relevant data manipulation techniques and technologies.
  • Develop valid and accurate data recording and analysis methodologies to guide decision making, including predictive modelling, participant segmentation and audience profiling.
  • Proactively make observations and recommendations regarding fundraising or other Stroke Foundation programs, supported by statistics where possible.
  • Identify trends with a comparative view across what’s happening in other markets.
  • Ensure reporting methodologies and data gathering is consistent and accurate.
  • Present findings and insights in a compelling way, to influence positive change.

Your background

  • 5 years in data/information analysis coupled with tertiary qualifications in IT, Business Statistics, Research or related disciplines.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of SQL programming, database software and statistical reporting packages.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Access, Excel and Salesforce (preferred).
  • Familiar with moves management and fundraising segmentation modelling across multiple fundraising disciplines.
