About the role
We are seeking a qualified and reliable Maintenance Officer / Handyman responsible for providing minor repairs & maintenance to Frankston City Council buildings, equipment and offices including change outs, door and lock repairs, patching and painting, carpeting, lamping, desking, small moves, new installations and other reactive maintenance. In this role, you will ensure all contractual, legislative and safety requirements are met in line with the client’s and Ventia’s standards.
Standard business hours are applicable, however, it is a requirement of the role to be available on “on call” roster or overtime to suit client requirements.
About you
As a successful candidate, you will possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 3 – 5 years post trade experience in a Commercial / Industrial environment preferred
- Previous experience working in a building maintenance position involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules
- Current VIC manual drivers licence
- VIC Construction Industry Awareness Card (White Card)
- Current first aid certificate (preferred)
- Demonstrated customer focus
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, perform a variety of job tasks and duties and take direction from various supervisory personnel to assist Ventia in compliance with all service delivery obligations.
