RISsafety is the leading Australian owned company in the height safety, height access and fall protection industry with an Australia wide network of branches, RIS also design, manufacture and install safety access systems, and provides comprehensive audits and certifications of installed systems across many industries.
We seek a highly motivated individual with relevant roofing, rigging and or height safety installation experience who can work autonomously and conduct inspections of installed height safety equipment to the relevant Australian Standards, Local Regulations and Manufacturers guidelines at our client sites.
The role involves the inspection & recertification (annual testing) of a range of height safety products which include Anchor Points, Fall Protection Harness's & Equipment, Static Lines, Abseil Systems, Walkways and Handrails, Ladders, Stairs and Platforms to a variety of buildings and structures in new construction and retrofit sites within QLD.
Prerequisites for this role are:
- General Construction industry Training (White card) (or ability to arrange ASAP)
- Current Qualification in Working Safely at Heights (Nationally recognised training) (or ability to arrange ASAP)
- Certified EWP/Boom Operator
- A strong understanding of local WHS regulations
- A strong understanding of AS1657, AS1891, AS4488, AS5532 or the ability to quickly learn these
- Unrestricted Driver's license
- National police check (or ability to arrange ASAP)
- NSW & ACT Government Working with Children Check (or ability to arrange ASAP)
Individuals wishing to apply will ideally come from a trade background, property maintenance or previous experience in height safety installations and or rigging applications and additional advantage.
