QLM Label Makers is a proudly one of Australia's leading innovative and service driven manufacturers within the label and soft packaging industry. In 2018 QLM invested over $2.5 Million into new machinery in the form of the latest Mark Andy flexo presses to aid our continued growth and to invest into the future.
We are currently seeking an Experienced Flexographic Printer to join our dynamic and driven team located in the southern suburbs of Brisbane at Acacia Ridge, where you will enjoy a busy but stimulating work environment running one of these label presses.
The right person will have the following skills:
- Print Trade certificate
- Previous Flexographic Printing experience
- Experience in the label industry preferred
- Career driven and looking for opportunities to grow and develop
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor apprentices
- Be pro-active and work well in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure
- Have a positive outlook on life and your work (no negative vibes here)
- Ability to read and follow work ticket instructions
- Be reliable, punctual and have own transport
Reporting to the Print Team Leader and Production Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Printing of jobs using Flexographic printing machines in a timely and efficient manner
- Carry out work in accordance with company safety and quality processes and procedures
- Meet Production output KPI's
- Appetite for cross training on different machines
- Work with integrity and be a team player
- Machine cleaning and maintenance as required
- General housekeeping
The position is permanent full time Monday to Thursday on a weekly rotating shift. Day shift hours are 6.00am – 4.30pm and afternoon shift hours are 4.15pm – 2.15am.
