Signals Technicians | FIFO and Residential Opportunities Available| Karratha and Tom Price Based | 8 days on, 6 days off Ongoing Roster.
Rio Tinto’s Railways Division is currently undertaking a significant number of projects across all areas of their operations. This work needs to be properly planned and executed to ensure the work is undertaken safely, efficiently and effectively.
One of these improvement projects is planning and delivery of the track renewals work to be delivered. The Network Maintenance team are looking to establish and Project Management Company (PMC) to plan and deliver track renewals work and while the PMC is being determined and established, an interim Network Maintenance team is required. To be part of this high performing team we are seeking experienced Signals Technicians on either a FIFO or residential basis supporting our coastal and inland maintenance teams.
To be successful in this position you will attain:
• Applicable signalling qualifications, Cert 4 in rail signalling in accordance with the Australian National Framework
• Electrical and mechanical signalling equipment
• Heavy haul maintenance practises, specifications and requirements
• Experience and proven track record in signalling maintenance and renewals management, maintenance renewal planning and execution
• Ability to identifying inefficiencies and propose and implement improvements
This is a hands-on project role, site presence and presence during planning and execution on site is critical and a requirement.
