BD Australia is seeking a dedicated, hardworking and patient focused Field Service Technician to join their QLD team servicing our ROWA machines for our retail & hospital Pharmacy customers. Our preferred candidate has previous experience as a field technician, excellent computer skills, experience within the medical industry, a can do attitude and the willingness to undertake significant statewide travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake instrument commissioning, preventative and reactive maintenance and servicing
• Plan regular customer visits to deliver preventative maintenance on BD instruments.
• Perform remedial maintenance on a nominated range of equipment in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
• Be first point of contact for each of your customers and sites.
• Communicate with Regional Territory Managers, Technical Specialists and Regional Sales Managers on potential sales opportunities.
• Maintain tight control of the service parts movements and usage allocated to your responsibility.
• Assess and report on product performance, faults etc. and make recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge for all instruments. 
• 50/50 proactive & reactive role.

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualifications in electronics, engineering or similar discipline mandatory
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Proven hands on experience in technical product servicing and repair in field
• Strong IT & software knowledge and background
• Experience in Automation equipment or in a pharmacy setting an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to accommodate the requirement of frequent domestic travel and potential for some overseas travel
• Action oriented, self-motivated and enthusiastic
