Padman Stops is a industry leader of manufacturing innovative irrigation solutions for Australian farmers. We are looking for an experienced Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our fast paced and continuous improvement focused engineering department.

Huge opportunity to make some real impact by bringing a wealth of experience in a wide variety of problem solving engineering skills.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Fabrication and repair maintenance of production moulds for pre-cast concrete
• General maintenance of manufacturing plant & equipment
• Assisting in prototyping and experimental projects to enhance our continuous improvement programs
• Competent at reading drawings
• Problem solver with a can do attitude
• Committed to quality assurance and working in a team environment 

Skills and experience

• 5 - 8 years trades experience in a similar environment.
• Above experience required for this role & trade qualifications desired but not essential.
• Exceptional understanding of OH&S policies
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques (fabrication, machining, moulding)
• Knowledge of materials (grades, properties, processing, metals and composites)
• The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, a can do attitude and a flare for problem solving
