Job tasks and responsibilities
We are looking for a Head Engraver / Production Co-ordinator to work in our head office located in the Adelaide CBD to commence asap.
This is a critical role in the business, and is responsible for coordinating production with the General Manager and Production / Operations Manager and customer service / sales, while maintaining 110% quality results within this faced paced environment. Training will be provided to the right applicant to use various engraving methods including laser engravers, rotary engravers and sandblasting equipment. On occasion outside of hours work may be required in relation to onsite engraving services and to cover peak periods.
Main duties and responsibilities include;
- General production coordination with the General Manager and Ops / Production Manager
- Machinery operation - laser, rotary and sandblasting
- Artwork generation + working with clients
- Customer service
- General housekeeping
- Maintaining OH&S policies and procedures
- Meeting KPI expectations
- Work schedule planning and management
Skills and experience
Do you have the following?
- CorelDraw or CAD / design experience.
- Coordinating a production environment.
- Laser and rotary machine / engraving experience or similar machines / production (ie printing)
- Ability to manage workflow and handle time constraints
- Ability to follow step-by-step procedures and work instructions
- Great attention to detail and identify defects
- Good mathematical ability
- Excellent communication and spelling ability with customer interaction (you will be proofing customer artwork)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of machine maintenance (full training will be given)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Current Drivers License
Remuneration will be based on casual full-time role with a view to permanent full-time. KPI bonuses will also be agreed with the successful applicant.
