We seek to appoint an enthusiastic Research Assistant within the Paediatric Endocrine Research Group of the Division of Developmental Medicine and Biology. The position is full time and available from 1 September 2017 until 13 July 2018, located at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. You will be responsible for driving forward ethics and regulatory approval for a MRC Confidence in Concept funded study into the utility of gene expression data for the diagnosis of childhood growth hormone deficiency. You will also be responsible for sample collection, RNA processing and downstream mathematical assessment of gene expression data. A class 1 or 2i honours or Master’s degree in a biological discipline or equivalent is required along with prior experience of RNA extraction, microarray processing and extensive experience working with analysis in R.
