The University of Sussex wishes to appoint a Teaching Fellow to a 0.5 FTE fixed term appointment in Philosophy from 01 February 2018 to 30 June 2018. This equates to 80 hrs. of teaching with associated preparation and assessments.

The successful applicant will have relevant teaching experience and possess a PhD in a central area of European philosophy or hold pre-submission status. She/he will be demonstrably competent to teach at UG and MA levels in the following areas: ‘Phenomenology’, ‘Language, Truth and Literature’, and ‘Language, Art and Representation’.

The successful candidate will join a friendly, intellectually invigorating department, committed to dialogue across philosophical traditions. We seek a colleague who will contribute to the life of the department and the interacting with our highly engaged and intellectually able student community.
