This is an exciting time to be joining Royal Holloway. We are embarking on a journey of exciting change and are looking for dynamic and energetic individuals to help us achieve our ambitious goals.
Forming the operational heartbeat of the University, and now co-located in the new Emily Wilding Davison building, the Academic Services team is at the centre of this transformation and pivotal to the institution’s success and to delivering our commitment to our students.
We are now looking for a Director of Academic Services to join the team and lead a newly-created directorate. This draws together all centrally delivered academic and student support functions to provide an enhanced and more integrated service. The Director will have responsibility for a team of circa 350 across student administration, student services, wellbeing and sport, academic skills, academic quality and policy, careers and employability, and the library and learning resources centre. The successful individual will play an important strategic and coordinating role to ensure that the College offers a modern and fully integrated service to its students.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of achievement and leadership. He/she will have proven experience of effective management of teams and will be able to develop productive relationships, and work collaboratively. The Director will represent Royal Holloway externally and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and to delivering student-centred services of the highest standard.
A member of the College Executive, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with colleagues across the College, this role is a highly strategic position for an ambitious leader able to deliver the student – facing elements of the College’s strategic vision.
