Job Purpose
You will contribute to a project in the area of GaN on Diamond Electronics working with Professor Iain Thayne. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in the use of micro- and nanofabrication techniques for the realisation of advanced compound semiconductor devices. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.

Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 6, £28,098 - £31,604 per annum.This position has funding for up to 13 months in the first instance.New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme.
