The Cardiff University Development team is looking for a motivated, inventive developer to work on various web and integration projects. You will be an experienced developer, comfortable writing both web applications and APIs to connect systems together efficiently. We primarily use PHP/JavaScript for the front end and Java for the back-end, but also have systems in VBA, .Net, Python, Go, Node.js and others depending on requirements - such as web applications for students, helping research projects and integrating corporate systems. We work in an agile way, therefore experience of Scrum/ Kanban would be beneficial, and we expect knowledge of standard good practices - version control, test-driven development and documentation are required.
