About the role
Reporting to the Head of IT Project Management Office, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of IT projects for both new solutions and enhancements to existing technology. The role ensures approved projects are set up on strong foundations and works in close consultation with the Head of IT PMO and Project Sponsors to implement solutions in line with the University’s overarching strategy. This is a key project leadership position that provides oversight to project teams and has overall responsibility for the successful delivery of IT projects to agreed specification, budget and time constraints across the University.
There are multiple permanent and fixed-term opportunities available for this role.
About you
Candidates must demonstrate significant experience of delivering large and technically complex projects at a senior level, with proven expertise in business case and project plan development as well as tracking and forecasting project finances. An effective leader, you have strong stakeholder management skills coupled with the ability to work constructively with technical colleagues, both internal and third party. High-level analytical and problem solving skills coupled with your ability to work to agreed schedules within the structure of a formal project management environment will round off your profile.
Experience of delivering Customer Relationship Management (CRM), E-Commerce, Identity and Access Management, Property and Asset Management solutions and/or knowledge of the SITS:Vision student record system and Learning Management Systems (LMS) would be advantageous.
