The University of London’s Communications Department is now recruiting for a Senior Drupal Developer to lead on the development, design and implementation of new features and functionality on its new Drupal 8 website, managing all technical aspects of the CMS.

The Communications team within the Vice-Chancellors Department are responsible for internal and external communications, media relations, social media, strategic messaging, communications advice and internal event management on behalf of the University.
About the role
We have a new, fixed-term opportunity (12 months) for an experienced Senior Drupal Developer to join the University’s Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Digital Communications, you will take responsibility for development, designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
You will manage the Junior Drupal Developer, equivalents across the University's departments and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.
With a passion for Drupal, you will demonstrate strong knowledge of Drupal 7 and some exposure to 8 including custom module development. Technically adept, you will have proven experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment. You will have the ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture. You will enjoy working effectively in pressured environments, ensuring that your own workload is prioritised and deadlines are met.
