Detail information about job Clinical Studies Officer Eczema Trials. Terms and conditions vacancy
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinical Studies Officer (CSO) or Research Nurse (RN) to join a team of researchers, working on randomised controlled trials of treatments for children with eczema. You will be mainly working on the BEE (Best Emollient for Eczema), BEEP (Barrier Enhancement for Eczema Prevention) and TEST (Trial of Eczema allergy Screening Tests) studies, but you may also be working on other studies around childhood skin conditions that are running concurrently in CAPC.
In this role you will be responsible for recruiting children into the studies and supporting their parents/carers during trial participation and follow-up. This will involve liaising with general practices, assessing children’s eligibility to take part in the study, obtaining informed consent from parents and arranging all follow-up including assessment visits at the patients’ general practices and homes.
You will be based in Canynge Hall (University of Bristol) but will be travelling on a daily basis to general practices/hospitals and participants’ homes throughout the region (Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset).
