Developmental Dyslexia and Remediating Oscillatory Rhythmic Entrainment

Applications are invited for a full-time Research Assistant to work on a longitudinal project measuring auditory and neural processing abilities in children with dyslexia and delivering a rhythm-based intervention. The successful candidate will be based in the Department of Psychology (Centre for Neuroscience in Education) and will be joining a team headed by Professor Usha Goswami (see: http://www.cne.psychol.cam.ac.uk/

Applicants should ideally have a degree in psychology, neuroscience or linguistics or a related discipline, and experience of administering linguistic experimental paradigms to children. Applicants will require the capacity to work independently to recruit the planned sample of N=120 from local schools, and subsequently to carry out behavioural testing and deliver the intervention. Excellent organisational and communication skills are required, and prior experience with children would be an advantage.

The position is available from 1 November 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.
