ESRC-Newton Project Research Fellow

This post is to provide research support to the project: Social Network Analysis of Innovation Cluster in Creative and Cultural Value Chain: Case of George Town World Heritage Site funded by Research Councils UK (Economic Social Research Council) Newton Fund, Grant Ref: ES/P010377/1. The project examines the development of a creative/cultural cluster in a site with rich cultural heritage in Penang, Malaysia. The research will deploy Social Network Analysis to examine the networks developed by cultural and creative sector organisations. A relational model for innovation ecosystems, applicable to cultural and creative sectors will be developed. We will develop various case studies through qualitative interviews and case study methodologies.

You will join an international research project group with extensive experience in Social Network Analysis and qualitative methodologies. You will gain international research experience by working in a project funded by highly reputable Research Councils UK (ESRC) under Newton Fund programme.

You will contribute to policy analysis, social network data analysis, data management, qualitative fieldwork, and organisation of workshops in London and overseas. You would need to have, inter alia, good skills in communication, relevant research skills, and report writing and publication skills.

You will be appointed as a Research Fellow (Grade I or Grade II) depending on your skills and experience. Please demonstrate your achievements against the relevant criteria in the accompanying person specifications which will be used to make an appointment at an appropriate level.
