This is a Full-time post
The post-holder will be a strong team player, with a PhD and a background in a relevant field such as a higher education institution or research funding body. S/he will work in collaboration with colleagues across the Research Development and Strategy unit to develop and deliver various projects designed to boost research grant capture.
The Research Development Manager will work to increase research performance and funding in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities (A&H). Key functions will be strengthening relationships with funding bodies, providing advice and support to academic staff, operational running of internal sifting of proposals, contributing to research strategy development and monitoring research performance.
The Research Development Manager for A&H is a key role within the Arts and Sciences Research Office. The post-holder will work closely with academics and Faculty professional services colleagues to increase research performance in the Faculty, supported by the Head of the Research Office and colleagues in A&H.
The selection process will be a panel interview, which will include a short presentation on a relevant topic and competency-based questions.
Interviews are scheduled to be held the week commencing 2nd October 2017.
