The Edge Hotel School is the only hotel school of its kind in the UK. Students study a BA (Hons) Hotel Management or Events with Hospitality degree whilst gaining experience in a 4 star hotel, on the University of Essex Colchester Campus. This unique environment aims to deliver the industry leaders of the future and has attracted both national and international recognition from industry and government for its innovation and trail blazing philosophy and approach.
About the role:
The Edge Hotel School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive individual, who has some hospitality management experience, for an exciting new role created with funding from the Edge Foundation. The post holder will deliver the Inspiring Hospitality Careers project, promoting the hospitality industry as a career destination for young people. He/she will lead, and operationally deliver, on a range of initiatives with schools and colleges regionally and around the UK to highlight and promote the diverse and vibrant opportunities at all levels of the industry.
About you:
The role would ideally suit a highly motivated, experienced professional who has a real passion for the industry and who can communicate this! A background in Human Resources would be an advantage. You will be able to work autonomously and supportively, and must have a positive and flexible attitude. You must be able to use initiative and work with minimal supervision and maximum effectiveness, ensuring that critical tasks are effectively communicated, tracked and updated, and achieved on time.
