This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop a unique and bespoke sensor for the transport sector from HGV’s to Aircraft supported by Teesside University over an initial 12-month period.
Silent Sensors provide tyre management solutions and in conjunction with PCL, CPI and Teesside University will work jointly to build the sensor over a number of phases.
Clients range from major tyre manufacturers, tier one automotive component suppliers and important suppliers in transport/logistics.
The company is looking for a graduate with knowledge and some experience of electronics and programing. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- To design, develop and validate new products
- To produce accurate technical reports of work carried out
- To follow design & development procedures as required by the stakeholders
- To liaise with the stakeholders to produce practical designs so that products can be made according to the set specification and at appropriate cost.
- To develop pass-through TPMS sensor
- To integrate pass-through TPMS sensor into the Tyre Pressure Device which is able to communicate – using Bluetooth with, smart phone app
- To develop SMART PCBA which is able to display and save the measured data and identify the tyre using RFID
- To develop a control system to adjust the pressure of the tyre based on the pressure and temperature measurements
Qualifications
Essential - A good degree in Engineering/Computer Science with specialisms in Mechatronics, Electronics – Essential
