We are seeking an individual to undertake an experimental programme on encapsulation of crystallohydrate-based phase change materials into polymer/carbon capsules in the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy, a world leading research centre for renewable energy at the University of Liverpool The project aims to facilitate innovations in the area of heat storage and controlled release based on the application of energy nanocapsules in macroscale heat storage systems, which accord with the modern trend for energy-efficient buildings. The post is supported by European ERC-POC project. You will be involved in the development and optimisation of energy storage systems based on encapsulation technologies in close collaboration with industrial partners and reporting to Professor Dmitry Shchukin, a leading expert in the field of encapsulation technology. You should have a PhD in Chemistry or equivalent and have experience in the development of phase change materials and encapsulation. The post starts from 01 November 2017 for the duration of 1.5 years (until 30 April 2019).
