Job PurposeWe are seeking to appoint two RA positions to make leading contributions on the ATLAS experiment. Specifically, the roles require expert knowledge in data analysis, MC modelling and operational work on the ATLAS experiment toward measurements of the Higgs boson and/or top quark or searches for new physics. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project as opportunities allow.
Standard Terms & ConditionsSalary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 7, £33,943 - £38,183 per annum.
These positions have funding for up to 24 months in the first instance and are available from 1 October 2017.
New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.
The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
