Applications are invited for the full time, fixed-term post of Career Development Fellow in Chinese Commercial Law at St Hugh’s College, tenable for three years. Career Development Fellowships combine research opportunities within the Faculty of Law in the University of Oxford with teaching experience, and the position is intended for an individual who has recently completed a doctorate (or equivalent law degree) and wishes to embark on an academic career.
The successful candidate will be fluent in Chinese language or languages, and will be a proficient scholar in the English language. (S)he will have finished a PhD or equivalent (or be close to completion), and will have a first-class academic record in Law or associated social science with a jurisprudential aspect. Ideally, scholarly prowess will be evidenced by publications or materials soon to be published.
