The University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (UKH) is a public university funded by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) within Iraq (www.krg.org). It is committed to excellence in teaching and research. While in its development and expansion phase, the University’s R&D team expects as many as 10,000 students to be studying and earning degrees there. To support the University’s strategic development within the next five years, the University’s School of Medical Sciences (SMS) is making significant investments in new academic positions. The SMS is seeking enthusiastic and well-qualified candidates to fill in the position of Lecturer/ Assistant Professor, Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor, or Professor in Physiology. The candidate would support the ongoing teaching activities at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University. 

Minimum Qualifications:This prospective full-time faculty member will have the following minimum qualifications, skills and competencies: 

Earned a master’s or doctorate in requested or related field and must be strongly committed to quality scholarly research. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated record of acceptances or publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to native-level English speakers. Areas of specialization are open, but preference will also be given to applicants with expertise in Physiology. Individuals with strong interests in advanced research are especially encouraged to apply. Special consideration will be given to candidates with an exceptional record of research accomplishments in Physiology. Experience also in engaging in collaborative partnerships with higher education institutions, education agencies, and/or the professional and scholarly discipline are preferred.
